Kathleen Britain joined HSBC in 2018 in the UK and has nearly 25 years of banking experience across US, UK and Asia. Having originally started her career in San Francisco with Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) before joining Barclays in the UK in 2005, Kathleen has undertaken a number of senior leadership roles across Private Banking and Commercial Banking including relationship management, strategy, and operations. In August 2023, Kathleen was appointed the Chief Operating Officer for South & South East Asia for Commercial Banking and Global Banking. In this role, Kathleen is responsible for operations, risk management and transformation across the region. Ensuring our clients can operate their banking requirements in the most efficient way possible, including the use of available technology, is a key priority for Kathleen. Kathleen is based in Singapore and is married to David and has one daughter.
