- Khairudin James has 25 years of experience in Banking (at Standard Chartered), starting with 15 years in the first line (primarily Financial Markets Middle Office), followed by 10 years in the third line (Group Internal Audit & Investigations). He joined Standard Chartered as a Financial Markets Management Trainee in 2001, and left Financial Markets in 2015, having risen to Functional Head of Financial Markets Middle Office. After a leadership development secondment with Group Internal Audit & Investigations, he chose to shift his career path into the third line. Initially focusing on Operations, he additionally took the Operational Resilience portfolio five years ago, when it was launched as a separate audit specialisation in Standard Chartered. Over the last five years, he has piloted, refined and rolled out Dynamic (Agile) Audit implementation across Group Internal Audit & Investigations and led the design and implementation of the Operational Resilience audit programme across Standard Chartered Bank.
