Asia Head of Operational Risk

Gareth Edwards, Managing Director Gareth is the Asia Head of Operational Risk for Morgan Stanley, based in Hong Kong. Gareth initially joined Morgan Stanley in January 2016 as the EMEA Head of Operational Risk Coverage in London before relocating to Hong Kong in 2020. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Gareth was a senior equities trader working in London, New York, and Tokyo. Most recently he was the Head of CEEMEA Equity Trading at JP Morgan. Gareth holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from City Law School, University of London and was Called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick and is a CFA and FRM Charterholder.
