Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer ASEAN & South Asia

Stuart is Chief Compliance Officer, ASEAN & South Asia, and Global Head of Compliance, Financial Crime & Conduct Risk for Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Coverage at Standard Chartered. He leads compliance and financial crime compliance teams across the ASEAN & South Asia region, alongside a global team supporting Standard Chartered’s CIB Coverage business. Stuart is based in Singapore. Stuart has significant experience in Asia, having been based in Singapore for 20 years. He was most recently based in New York where he was the Chief Compliance Officer, Americas and Head of Financial Crime Compliance, Europe & the Americas at Standard Chartered. His roles have spanned Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance and Banking, with particular focus on regulatory engagement, risk management and compliance transformation. Stuart began his career at Linklaters in London and Singapore, practising M&A and capital markets law.
